Jessica is currently Farm Aid’s Online Communications and Marketing Manager, where she works to amplify the organization’s mission and expand its online engagement (by doing everything from online marketing, to the website, to social media, to the newsletters and beyond). As a journalist, her beats included: food, nutrition, agriculture, public health, climate change and emerging science. Jessica addressed both the breaking news and policy stories, as well as the more offbeat and quirky. For example, she’s reported on the EPA’s reevaluation of the herbicide Atrazine, and also on two farmers who converted their pickup truck into a mobile organic farm.
Jessica garnered her knowledge of these beats and her research skills in both college and graduate school. At Barnard College, Columbia University she received a B.S. in environmental science and human rights, and at Tufts University she received a M.S. in nutrition with a focus on food, agriculture and environmental policy.
